1- Le Gîte du Parc Lafontaine

Le Gîte du Parc Lafontaine is a century-old VICTORIAN house that has been converted to a Youth Hostel and is located at 1250 Sherbrooke east facing Lafontaine Park where, during the summer season, free-attendance plays are performed every evening at the Théâtre de Verdure troupe. Le Gîte du Parc Lafontaine is near Downtown Montreal and St-Denis & St-Laurent street, famous for their bustling nightlife. The Gîte is also at the heart of the city's tourist attractions, namely the Jazz Fest, The Old Port, The Olympique installations and above all, the enchanting pedestrian Prince-Arthur street where one can enjoy musicians, singers and juggling acts while sipping a drink on one of the many Terraces that grace this unique site. Also, the cycling path is just around the corner from le Gîte du Parc Lafontaine, which is loccated 5 minutes from the Voyageur bus Terminal.

Once at Sherbrooke metro, take the bus 24 going east, get off at the corner of Cherrier and Amherst, then walk to Sherbrooke street. Located across Lofontaine park.

- Le Gîte du Plateau Mont-Royal

A century old house bordering downtown and Mount-royal, between St Denis and St laurent street. 5 minutes away from the main festivals : Jazz, Francofolies, Just for Laughs, First Nations, World Movies, New Cinema and New Medias.

Neighbouring the Gîte is the pedestrian street Prince Arthur where you can enjoy the troubadours, street singers and jugglers perfomers while eating or ` sipping a glass ` at one of the many restaurants and their terraces.

Mount Royal is near by and you are invited to take a walk up to the top of the moutain. On your way don't miss the "Tam Tam Jam", one of the high light event of Montréal occuring every sundays. There will you have an immemorable day.
